Carmel’s Mexican Restaurant (Tremainsville Rd, Toledo)Locally owned and family operated for over 30 years. Also includes a kid menu. Very Casual.

Ventura’s (Bancroft St, Toledo) Voted the best margarita in Toledo 10 years in a row and their food is locally sourced right here in Toledo. The type of place that is always packed and tons of “regulars”.

Don Juan Mexican Bar & Grille (Franklin Park, Downtown and Maumee)This is a chain type Mexican spot, but that’s not always a negative. They’ve got it down to a science and always deliver. The Downtown location is an Express style, great for those quick lunch break grabs.

El Tipico Restaurant (South Ave, Toledo)Looking for a Gluten, Vegan and Vegetarian- friendly option? A family-owned restaurant since 1968, they have a 95% gluten-free menu, fresh organic ingredients and vegan and vegetarian-friendly items as well.

Condado (Toledo and Perrysburg/Rossford)If you’re looking for an “al a cart” type experience, this is your place. Very casual vibe, with Graffiti as your decor. You can build your own taco or bowl, or try one of their signature creations. It is not your typical Mexican restaurant. (Prepare to pay for the chips and salsa

El Zarape (Wooster St, Bowling Green)Enjoy a margarita on the rocks or frozen in any of their multiple flavored margaritas. Raving reviews!

Old El Camino (Swanton)Unique Atmosphere with your classic eats. Of course, another great margarita stop.

Vivir Modern Mexican (Findlay)It’s “Fine Dining” meets “Casual Fare”. “Authenticity” meets modern “Ingenuity” to create innovative dishes and flavors. If you’re looking for a more “hip” and unique experience, this is your stop!

Cocina de Carlos (locations in Waterville & Perrysburg)Another family and locally owned Mexican restaurant. They hand pick their produce each week! All of their food is made from scratch and menu includes gluten-free, vegan and food allergy-friendly items and a wide selection of 100% agave tequilas.

Agave and Rye (Levis Commons, Perrysburg)This newer restaurant brings a very unique flair. Each location has its own handcrafted artwork featured, along with Chef Inspired take on the standard Taco. Don’t sleep on these appetizers!

El Camino (Oregon & Toledo)Voted #1 Authentic Mexican Restaurant, best patio, and margaritas 14 years in a row by the Toledo Blade.

Te’kela Mexican Cocina y Cantina (Sylvania & Perrysburg)With a happy hour every day (including weekends) of half-off appetizers and drinks from 3-5:30 pm, wide selection of margaritas and contemporary and authentic menu items. Fresh is a word that comes to mind when dining here.

Cancun Mexican (Findlay)Your more “standard” Mexican cuisine and atmosphere. But sometimes the standards are what you are looking for!

We know its fun to have your “go to”. But we definitely suggest checking out a new spot now and then. You never know, you just may find a new love.
