Mothers Day In/Around Toledo

Spring is here! Which means Mothers Day is right around the corner. A day meant to celebrate all of us moms out there for everything we do the other 364 days out of the year. With the craziness of the world during our current pandemic there are still some events that you can take advantage of.

Mothers Day Brunch @ The Toledo Zoo – May 9th Choose either 9-10am or 1130am-1230pm Toledo, OH. Brunch is being held at their Malawi Event Center and includes an animal demonstration and live entertainment along with an extensive brunch menu – bloody marys and mimosas are available to purchase. You can order tickets for this online through toledozoo website (tickets are discounted if you are a zoo member)

Garden Planters for Mom @ Hoens Garden Center – May 6th 630pm Holland, OH. The garden center is hosting a free workshop for you to create a small indoor or outdoor planter. Soil is provided and you can either bring your own container or purchase one of theirs. Shop any of their plants, accessories or blossoms to fill your planter

Mothers Day Brunch @ Bravo! Italian Kitchen – May 9th until 3pm Toledo, OH. Treat yourself or another mama with their special brunch menu that has something for the whole family to choose from. Reservation is required and available to make on their website

Kids Days @ Hayes Mother’s Day Tea @ Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library and Museum – May 8 10-1130am Fremont, OH. For the history buff moms out there, you can enjoy with your children a Victorian Tea this Mothers day weekend. Per their website, this event is geared towards kids in 4th-6th grade however is open for all ages. Tickets are $7 for non-members and no cost for an adult bringing a child. Tickets must be bought in advance and can be purchased on their website.

Mothers Day Tree Climb @ Toledo Botanical Gardens – May 9th 2-330pm Rossford, OH. Celebrate mothers day this year by spending some time outside and climbing Toledo Garden’s sycamore trees. Harnesses and climbing ropes provided and must be used to get to the top of the trees. Reservation required and can be made on their website or by calling 419-407-9810 and speaking with a customer service member.

ToledoMetroparks – While this is not a specific event, Toledo and surrounding cities is home to many great parks. Spend the day outside with family having a picnic, taking a walk or bike ride on the many trails available or let your littles run wild and play on the play ground

Kalyn is a mama to her little boy Carson with another on the way. Her and her husband Michael reside in Sylvania where they love to enjoy all the events and outdoor activities the city has to offer.
