Fall in Northwest Ohio is one of the best times of the year! We are blessed to experience all four seasons here, and autumn is no exception. From crispy leaf piles, to fresh donuts and pumpkin patches; you will never run out of fun fall activities in this part of the country! One such activity that is a fall staple but also a bit unique to our area is corn mazes. Local corn farmers cut winding paths into their corn fields to configure fun and festive mazes for visitors to navigate. It’s a fun activity for families, date night and more. So grab your boots and head out to the country and check out one of these great local corn mazes!

The Butterfly House/Wheeler Farm

11455 Obee Rd.

Whitehouse, OH 43571

The Corn Maze at The Butterfly House is one of the area’s most talked about corn mazes. Every year they design a themed corn maze that can be seen above. This years’ 2023 theme is “ROAR” and features our prehistoric friends the Dinosaurs. You can see an aerial view of the maze from their website here. Wheeler Farm’s corn maze is located between The Butterfly House and The Stables and boasts 16 acres of fall fun with three different mazes and level of skill. Adult tickets are $12 (adults 65+ are $10), children ages 4-9 cost $10 and children under 4 years old are free with an adult. Open from mid-September through late October, bring out your whole family and enjoy the sights and sounds of fall in Whitehouse!

Trabbic Family Pumpkin Farm

Trabbic Family Pumpkin Farm is the cream of the crop when it comes to fall festivities. Located just over the state line in Erie, MI, this pumpkin farm has no shortage of things to do. Spinning pumpkins and train rides, animals, and about a dozen different photo opps fill the property. Their 4-acre corn maze is the perfect activity for teens, adults and families alike. It’s twists and turns may leave you wondering if you will ever get out, but we promise you will!

Steven’s Gardens

4550 Weckerly Rd.

Monclova, OH 43542

Steven’s Gardens is a family-owned farm stand that sells seasonal fruits and veggies along with flowers, plants and other items throughout the year. In the fall, they add a corn maze to the mix. Their family-friendly maze is only $2 per person and takes about 10-15 minutes to complete. Each guest receives a card and hunts for four different stamps throughout the maze. Stamp the back of the card at each location and receive a piece of candy for each stamp once you’ve made it through.

The Homestead Fall Farm

An 1880’s granary houses pumpkins, gourds, broom corn and more, and they have an awesome gift shop. Entry to this 3-acre corn maze is $4.00 for children and $5.00 for adults. There are six stations throughout the maze that upon finding, guests can mark the cards they are given prior to entering. At the end of the season Homestead Fall Farms will draw a name for prize!
