Northwest Ohio Farmers’ Market Guide

As the weather gets warmer and the days longer, farmers’ markets are beginning to pop up all across Northwest Ohio.

Thankfully, Northwest Ohio has no shortage of weekly farmers’ markets so you have a plethora of options to choose from.

Tips for making the most of your Farmers Market experience:

• Research the markets before you go. Sign up for newsletters and browse their websites and Facebook pages to see which vendors will be attending and what kind of special entertainment will be available.
• Arrive early for the best selection. Many items sell out fast!
• Walk the perimeter before making a purchase. There will likely be several vendors selling similar items, so make sure you look at everything before deciding on a particular product. You don’t want to buy a dozen zucchini at the first vendor only to find cheaper and better looking zucchini at another vendor.
• Bring cash, especially smaller bills so that you won’t have to rely on vendors to make change. Many vendors accept credit and/or debit cards, but it’s always best to have cash on hand.
• Bring your own reusable bags. Reusable bags are more sturdy and can hold more merchandise than the plastic bags used by vendors.
• If you want to bring your dog, double check that the market allows pets. Not all markets are pet-friendly, and you definitely don’t want to leave your pup in the car on a hot summer day while you shop!
• Go with an open mind and try something new! Ask vendors advice on how to use their products. You may walk away with a few new recipes or ideas!

During the winter (December-April), the downtown farmers’ market will be located indoors.

Westgate – West Toledo

3408 W. Central Ave.

HOURS:

Wednesday: 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

The Westgate market runs from May to October.

Perrysburg Farmers Market

 Louisiana Ave.

HOURS:

Thursday: 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

The Perrysburg Farmers’ Market opens on July 2 until Sept. 3.

Sylvania Farmers Market

7000 Erie St. Sylvania, OH

HOURS:

Tuesday: 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Bowling Green Farmers Market

201 S Main St.

HOURS:

Wednesday: 4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Fremont Farmers Market

315 Garrison St.

HOURS:

Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Pemberville Farmers Market – Garden Party

Downtown Pemberville

HOURS:

4th Tuesday of the month: 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Pemberville Garden Parties will take place from May to September.

Waterville Farmers Market

Corner of Farnsworth and Anthony Wayne Trail

SUMMER/FALL:

Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

The Waterville Farmers’ Market will run from May until November.
