National Iced Tea Day

It is officially Summertime and what does that mean? All the sun-soaked iced tea that I can make!! I am a sweet tea person and my husband is a non-sweet tea drinker, so I have been trying to find new and different recipes for us to try and figure out our favorites! I have asked around to local moms and visited Pinterest plenty and compiled a list of new and delicious iced teas recipes for all of you mamas to try out! Don’t see your favorite recipe below? Cold Brew Iced Tea with Fresh Fruit

4 cups of cold or room temp water

4 rounded tsp loose black tea – in tea filter/ball (or 4 tea bags)

6-8 sliced strawberries (frozen works)

1/2 thinly sliced lemon

 

combine all ingrediants in a pitcher. Cover and refrigerae for about 8 hours or overnight. Discard the leaves or tea bags. I also prefer to strain out the fruit and bottle the tea.

Other fun creations and additives: your favorite herbs in a filter/ball: basil, mint, rose petals, etc. Or Other fruit (fresh or frozen): blueberries, raspberries, orange slices, pineapple chunks, mango.

Very Berry Hibiscus Tea

2 bags of Lipton

2 Starbucks Very Berry Hibiscus packets

Boil water and the Lipton, remove from heat and pour in the Very Berry Hibiscus packets, chill, and enjoy!

Assortfully Wonderful Tea

2 bags of Lipton

2 bags of Bigelow Constant Comment Black Tea

1 bag of Green Tea

 

Boil water with tea bags for 20 minutes. This tea is great sweet or unsweetened!

Refreashmint Tea

2 bags of Lipton

1 bag of Bigelow’s Constant Comment

1 bag of Peppermint Tea

 

Bring Water to a boil, remove pot from heat and place tea bags in the water. Let it soak, chill, and enjoy!

Citrus Green Tea

1 Tangerine/Clementine

3 fresh slices of lime

3 Lipton Green Tea bags

24 ounces of water

 

In a large glass or jar, add the citrus and use a fork to mash the clementine and lime until most of the juice is squeezed out. Add the Green Tea bags and water and place in the fridge overnight. Remove the tea bags in the morning and enjoy!

Infused Strawberry Sweet tea

7 cups water, boiled

4 Green Tea Bags

2/3 cup Sugar or Honey, 1/2 cup for less sweet

1 cup Frozen Strawberries

 

Boil all 7 cups of water and in a heat-safe pitcher, add the tea bags. Steep for at least 10 minutes. Remove the tea bags and add the sweetener and the frozen strawberries. Stir up until the sweetener is dissolved completely and place in the fridge to chill for at least 4 hours or until it’s cold and ready to drink. Enjoy!

Arnold Palmer Cold Brew Iced tea

1 tablespoon Loose Black tea

Sugar

1 large lemon

place the loose Black Tea in 2 cups of water, put it in the fridge, and let it sit for at least 12 hours. Make the lemonade by boiling 1 2/3 cups of water and pouring 2.5 tablespoons of sugar in it. After the sugar is dissolved set it aside to cool.

Juice one large lemon and strain the pulp and seeds. Pour the lemon juice into the sugar water. Pour the lemonade into 1/3 of your glass, then fill with ice, and top off with the cold brew tea!!

Long Island Iced tea

When your iced tea meets Friday night, here is the twist on “iced tea.”

Shot of vodka
Shot of gin
Shot of tequila
Shot of rum
Shot of triple sec
Splash of sweet & sour
Splash of coke

Garnish with a lime and ENJOY!
